Thank you for your interest in EUSEA27. We are looking for public engagement and science communication practitioners and researchers who have the courage to fight for the rights of the communities they serve, even against the odds. We want people who are bold enough to challenge the status quo and create new opportunities for unheard voices to be heard.
This is the ethos of Gallus, a Scots word for someone who is bold, daring, cheeky and mischievous. At a time when systems too often work against communities, we are looking for initiatives that involve small acts of rebellion and a little well-judged risk-taking, in pursuit of victories, large and small, for the communities and audiences they serve.
We invite contributions from practitioners who are challenging established ways of working, experimenting with new forms of engagement, and finding creative routes to impact despite institutional, political or financial constraints.
EUSEA27 is hosted by the Advanced Research Centre (ARC) at the University of Glasgow, which offers a range of spaces and facilities for you to explore and play with, including:
